Sri Lanka looked pretty ordinary front of  hostile South Africa in London oval Champions Trophy 2017. Hashim Amla and Spin of Imran Tair put on good show for everyone and plenty to look forward. There no secret now posting 300+ batting first where oval wicket part to play however it doesn’t mean I write off Sri Lanka from Champions Trophy 2017. There are amongst the favorites to win this tournament especially having history of making a come back out of nowhere. 

When I first looked at the lineup I felt there is chance for Sri Lanka to make good impact by taking quick wickets with likes of Lasith Malinga and spins options where Sri Lanka missing out Dilshan and twin pair Kumar Sangakara and Mahela Jayawardene in their batting line up.  The South Africa siding them off by taking a charge from word go by coming from very competitive background of cricket knowledge and skill level are very high. There will going to be woodworm between each of them but they couldn’t denied the fact it’s all set and done for the day. At least it didn’t rain and  posting spoiler tagging get bored in the middle of the scene.

Hashim Amla has been the back born of South Africa batting lineup with other superstars with flip a coin to become prize fighter for the next IPL. I remember the first time Hashim Amla came into the team as test player to the international cricket and everyone ruled him out from ODI and T20 cricket but he put his head down and start playing innings like he played today with disappointing end. I’m sure he go back to the drawing board just like Sri Lanka cricket team. There a lot of drama. Twist and Turns and party for cricketing fans with pizza or the best thing they like to eat. 

My overal view was it was good team performance for everyone who made contributions to post half decent total of 300 and disappointing for Sri Lankan’s who be looking for revenge which is known to be sweet but not easy. I be looking forward to every single cricket match of champions trophy .
